Spawned from the original “Lost Connection” series in Afghanistan and the success of Connection 2.0 at The Royal Academy of Arts, Connection 3.0 is a new collection of images created last year.

Across the US there is an estimated 180 million utility poles carrying 5.5 million miles of cable. The utility poles, a quintessential site to the landscape of North America, invoke a sense of nostalgia to many as well as being an integral part of the largest interconnected machine on Earth. Here is only a very small percent of those utility poles, taken around the Midwest of America during 2025.
